Actress Betty White died of a stroke six days before her death on December 31 at her home in Los Angeles, the Associated Press reports, citing her death certificate. She was 99 years old.
The Los Angeles County death certificate said White had a "cerebrovascular accident," the medical term for a stroke, on December 25. White's doctor provided the cause, which is typical in these cases, the Associated Press said
The information on the death certificate was first reported by TMZ.
White's remains were cremated and turned over to Glenn Kaplan, the man responsible for directing her Advanced Healthcare, according to the Associated Press. She passed away about three weeks before her 100th birthday on January 17.
