Boris Johnson announcement: Liz Truss says public ‘should MOVE ON’ as dozens don PM masks for ‘work party’ outside No10

Boris Johnson is unlikely to appear in public for an entire week after a close family member tested positive for the virus. He says no member of his family has contracted the disease. The positive test was on Wednesday, so the prime minister will continue that guidance until and including Tuesday next week. He will work from number 10, running daily tests and limit contact with others outside of number 10 and actually inside number 10 as well, has limited contact with others in the building, and holds online meetings.

When asked if this meant Johnson would not be spotted next week, the spokesperson said: “In line with directive which is to limit close contact as much as possible and from home As much as possible, don't expect the PM to deviate from this directive. But this does not necessarily prevent him from giving any media interviews.
