A hotel in competition was criticized for being the worst in Britain as 'unsuitable for guests'. The rooms are disgusting and the noise keeps everyone up at night.
One criticism is that the City View Hotel in DC's trendy Bethnal Green is a "dirty place" – nothing like the "comfort and contentment" it promises online .
Another company claims their average rating of two out of five stars is two too much after discovering used condoms in the trash in their newly clean room and a stack of 15 fans blocking the entrance.
And one of the guests, who visited in 2019, considered it so bad that they took one look inside and walked right out.
They wrote on Tripadvisor: “We got in and out in 20 minutes.
Its place is filthy, it’s definitely not a guest hotel, it’s more like a halfway house. the floor because they "could not manage the stairs to the second level". One person said the box looked like it had been thrown around the room 100 times and then secured with exposed wires and a wall-hung socket “.completely black” with mold and the shower head covered in lime.
And one woman who stayed in March ch 2020, experienced a sleepless night after being given a room next to the mains.
“Our room was next to the main electrical box of the entire hotel and the noise was constantly beeping every 30 seconds,” Carly wrote. “The bell for the entire building was set at our window with people coming in at all times of the night. It's the only thing we don't get. “
Upon arrival an angry employee helped us check in. Getting a ticket for the Chelsea v Ajax game was easier than getting a receipt to pay for your room,” he wrote. She had a lot of expectations based on reviews from others, but she took the picture due to the low price. And that was a huge mistake. Walls, windows, radiator, refrigerator, And the showers, they were all filthy.] Summing up most of the reviews, Rosie, who visited in October 2019, urged anyone considering accommodation to “please look elsewhere.” Unhelpful staff, dirty, smelly, broken toilet seat, dirty toilet, dirty bathroom, broken tv, broken table, broken window, dirty bed, dirty walls, dirty carpet, a train that literally goes through the window and shakes them every 30 seconds. “I took one look at the room, if you could call it a room, and then went right outside.
” To say it was disgusting is an understatement. It doesn't deserve the one star rating, but I had to mark one of them."
City View is listed at number 556 out of 873 B&Bs/hotels in London, and has been given an average of two stars out of five.
While most reviews were negative, some guests had a slightly more positive experience.
