Masked Singer Season 6 LIVE


THE Masked Singer returned this week with fans guessing Banana Split to be David Foster and Katherine McPhee after they wowed the judges and Cupcake getting eliminated.

Banana Split sang “Cry Me A River” by Michael Buble, impressed the judges, and left fans taking to social media to reveal their guesses.

“Banana Split is David Foster & Katharine McPhee. until I change my mind, but that’s what I’m going with #TheMaskedSinger,” one Twitter user said.

Another wrote: “We all know that the banana split are none other than Katherine McPhee, And david foster, They sounded incredible together this year #TheMaskedSinger.”

Meanwhile, Caterpillar, a new wildcard for this week, led the way on Masked Singer.

Cupcake, Banana Split, Mallard, and Queen of Hearts, the stars of group B, also performed but at the end of the episode, Cupcake was sent home and revealed to be Ruth Pointer.

It comes after the audience chanted “take it off” at the end of the October 6 episode as Baby unmasked, revealing the celebrity inside to be American comedian Daniel Lawrence Whitney, otherwise known as Larry the Cable Guy.

    “I think people are often surprised that I’m shy because I don’t come across as that on stage,” Queen of Hearts said.

    She’s looking for a “handsome, outdoorsy, and smart” King of Hearts.

  • SPEED DATING WITH BANANA SPLIT

    Banana Split “doesn’t kiss on the first date” and prefers a “big party” over a small gathering.

    Banana Split said they would date judge Nicole because “we have a ball together.”

  • BANANA SPLIT WOWS JUDGES

    Banana Split sang “Cry Me A River” by Michael Buble and impressed the judges.

    “Talk about dessert,” Nick Cannon said after their performance. “Amazing.

    “Everyone still standing on their feet.”

    The Masked Singer airs Wednesday on Fox at 8pm ET.

  • WHO WON THE MASKED SINGER ON SEASON FIVE?

    The winner of season five of The Masked Singer was the Piglet.

    The Black Swan took second place, and the Chameleon took third.

    The Piglet was revealed to be singer Nick Lachey, the Black Swan was singer JoJo, and the Chameleon was rapper Wiz Khalifa.

  • WHO WAS ELIMINATED FROM THE MASKED SINGER (WEEK 5)

    On Wednesday, October 13, Cupcake was eliminated from The Masked Singer.

    After her elimination, she was revealed to be none other than artist Ruth Pointer.

    However, before that, host Nick Cannon announced Octopus would be revealing his identity.

    Judge Ken Jeong correctly guessed Octo as Los Angeles Lakers player Dwight Howard.

    Next, Cannon announced that Mother Nature would be going home. The character was revealed to be Vivica A. Fox in the shocking premiere’s double elimination.

  • WHO WAS ELIMINATED FROM THE MASKED SINGER (WEEK 4)

    In week 4, judges and the audience unmasked Baby, revealing the celebrity inside to be American comedian Daniel Lawrence Whitney, otherwise known as Larry the Cable Guy.

    “This was the first time I’ve sang in front of anybody,” the comic confessed. 

    The judges weren’t the only people impressed by Baby’s true identity, as Nick called him one of the “most recognizable voices of this generation.”

  • WHO WAS ELIMINATED FROM THE MASKED SINGER (WEEK 3)

    In week 3, the Dalmatian was sent home and was revealed to be rapper Tyga.

    Prior to his elimination, he had performed Beautiful by Snoop Dogg featuring Pharrell Williams.

    Tyga told the judges the reason he decided to do the show after being inspired by fellow rapper Lil Wayne, who competed in season three, though he was eliminated in the very first episode.

  • WHO WAS ELIMINATED FROM THE MASKED SINGER (WEEK 2)

    Pufferfish was voted out, who turned out to be none other than RnB superstar Toni Braxton.

    She has sold over 70 million records worldwide and is one of the best-selling female RnB artists in history.

  • WHO WAS ELIMINATED FROM THE MASKED SINGER (WEEK 1)

    The two singers who received the least amount of votes would be sent home.

    After the characters gave their clues and performed, it came time for the judges, studio audience, and viewers to vote for their favorite performance.

    BullMother NatureOctopus, Pufferfish, and Skunk joined the stage in an effort to make the judges guess their identities, with two getting sent home on the first night. 

    Mother Nature, Vivica A Fox, and Octopus, Dwight Howard, were sent home.

    On the premiere night, The Masked Singer debuted with four new characters for Group A of the competition.

  • LARRY’S LET DOWN

    Once he was given the chance to speak at the end of last week’s show, Larry told the judges: “Everyone was so pumped up to see Bruce Willis, what a let down.

    “Everyone thought it would be this big action hero. This was the first time I’ve sang in from of anybody.” 

    The panelists weren’t the only people impressed by Baby’s true identity, as Nick called him one of the “most recognizable voices of this generation.”

  • ANOTHER SURPRISE

    The judges were equally as surprised last week when Larry the Cable Guy was unmasked as Baby.

    Before Baby’s identity was revealed, the panelists each took one turn guessing who the singer under the mask was.

    Robin guessed he was Chuck Norris, while Nicole said she thought he was James Corden.

    Meanwhile, Ken said it was Gordon Ramsay and Jenny guessed he was Bruce Willis.

    After the performer was revealed, Nick pointed out the judges have guessed he was a contestant in past seasons as he said: “We’ve said his name so many times and now he’s here in a baby costume.”

  • SHOUT OUT

    When Nick asked if the eliminated contestant wanted to say anything, she shouted out her famous sister Anita: “Sweetheart, I love you! I came to do what I needed to get home and support you.”

    She continued: “Thank you guys for having me! I’m a big fan of the show, I’ve been watching it the whole time.” 

    Before the unmasking, the Cupcake hinted at her identity by saying she was once “around other people a lot in her career.”

    The hint implied that she was potentially part of a girl group or starred on a TV show with an ensemble cast.

  • JUDGES TAKE FINAL GUESSES

    Before Cupcake officially left the competition, the judges took their final guesses on who was under the mask.

    Ken Jeong, 52, said he thought it was Tina Turner under the mask, while Nicole Scherzinger, 43, guessed Ruth Pointer from The Pointer Sisters.

    Meanwhile, Robin Thicke, 44, chose Saturday Night Live alum Leslie Jones as his pick and Jenny McCarthy, 48, guessed the performer was Grace Jones. 

    After the contestant’s identity was revealed, the judges appeared visibly shocked as Nick said she “threw everyone off.” 

  • RUTH POINTER REVEALED AS CUPCAKE

    The Masked Singer revealed Ruth Pointer as Cupcake during Wednesday’s episode of the show.

    The latest reveal stumped all four judges in the shocking elimination.

    During Wednesday night’s episode of The Masked SingerCupcake took the stage to perform Martha Reeves & The Vandellas’ song Heat Wave.

    The contestant competed in the Group B round against duo Banana SplitQueen Of Hearts, the Mallard and new wildcard the Caterpillar. 

    Following the performances, host Nick Cannon, 40, revealed that Cupcake was the latest contestant to be sent home.

  • WHO IS CUPCAKE?

    Cupcake is Ruth Pointer, a 75-year-old singer-songwriter who is best known for being a member of the family group The Pointer Sisters.

  • CUPCAKE GETS ELIMINATED

    Cupcake was chosen to be eliminated, but before the big reveal, the judges’ guesses were revealed.

  • CATERPILLAR PREFERS TEXTING

    When asked whether texting or calling is preferred, Caterpillar said: “Text, don’t call me.”

  • CATERPILLAR SINGS ‘IF I WERE A BOY’

    Caterpillar sang “If I Were A Boy” by Beyonce before telling the audience come clues during the speed dating round.

  • MALLARD SINGS ‘MY HOUSE’

    After Mallard performed “My House” by Flo Rida, he revealed his first celebrity crush was Olivia Newton-John and his favorite attribute is his “dimples.”

  • QUEEN OF HEARTS SINGS IN FRENCH

    Queen of Hearts sang “Le vie in rose” and impressed the audience by singing in French, which she admitted to never having done before.

    During the judges’ speed dating round with Queen of Hearts, the crowd learned she likes to “read and ride motorcycles.”

    Queen of Hearts said she likes books and Ken Jeong captured her heart because they would both have a “roasting hot” first date.

  • QUEEN OF HEARTS CLUES

  • CUPCAKE SINGS ‘FINESSE’

    Cupcake sang “Finesse” by Bruno Mars before speed dating.

    Whole Foods is the most used app on Cupcake’s food, the character then revealed.

  • CUPCAKE HAD ‘MANY HUSBANDS’

    Cupcake revealed she’s had “many husbands” and has a crush on Bruno Mars’ “romantic manner.”

  • WHO COULD BANANA SPLIT BE?

    Judge Nicole guessed Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban to be hiding in the Banana Split costumes.
