Woodward ‘visited No10’ but didn’t discuss ESL, Barcelona defiant, British Super League

The Premier League is set to rewrite the rulebook this summer to make it illegal for any future breakaway attempts. 

The entire structure of the English game is under scrutiny after the Super League fiasco with the Government launching a fan-led review.

Celtic and Rangers have been targeted for an all-British League as part of the fall-out from the failed European Super League. 

Uefa are considering slapping sanctions on the dirty dozen for their attempts to breakaway. 

Uefa president Aleksander Ceferin claims Chelsea’s Champions League semi-final with Real Madrid could be postponed. 

Arsenal chief Josh Kroenke admitted the club got it wrong as the board tried to make amends with disillusioned fans. 

But Kroenke insists they have no intention of selling the club despite the growing unrest. Barcelona president Joan Laporta insists he will put the Super League plan to a vote of their members. 

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told anti-Glazer protesters to leave Carrington so they would not disrupt Manchester United’s training.    

Florentino Perez claims Premier League clubs have no chance of signing Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland without income from the doomed Super League.Carlo Ancelotti admits he thought the Super League was a joke when he heard about the planned breakaway.  

Leicester romped to a 3-0 home win over West Brom to boost their Premier League top-four hopes. 

Harry Kane appears to be winning his race to be fit for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley.
